Parent Coaching
Are you having trouble with your child or teen, and don’t know how to improve the relationship?
Are you thinking if you don’t get a handle on the behavior, he or she may end up at a boarding school for troubled teens?
We offer a program that can help you gain invaluable tools to facilitate in parenting successfully to try and prevent the need for out of home placement. Or you may already have your teen or young adult enrolled in a program and would like to take a proactive step in restoring your relationship and gaining better insight as to the changes that need to occur for the transition back into the home.
Dawn Bauer, a certified Parent Coach, offers a unique opportunity to parents who may be dealing with a struggling adolescent, teenager or young adult. Parent Coaching is a solution focused approach in assisting clients as they discover the answers they seek which actually lie within. She knows from first hand experience the feeling of hopelessness and isolation when your child is spiraling out of control, a shift has occurred in communication, respect has diminished and an overall struggle for “being in control” is undermining the entire family. Through coaching, she is able to share her personal and professional experience gained so that a new method of thinking, engaging and responding to each other may be encouraged.
Coaching packages may be purchased in increments of four. Once a package has been fulfilled, individual sessions may be purchased at an individual rate. During the parent-coaching process, books may also be suggested to further enhance both personal growth and parenting skills. Your parent-coach will guide you through the entire process, facilitating better understanding of your personality differences and how this affects your relationship. You will also discover new approaches in setting clear and concise boundaries with your teen, establishing better communication skills, and improving the overall appreciation and respect for each member of the family.
